Marriage

St Mary's is obviously a beautiful place to get married and a great place to begin married life. You can have a choir and bellringers and flowers galore or just keep it simple. As long as one of the couple lives within the parish boundaries, or has pastoral links with the church, you can be married here. If either of the couple is divorced it is still possible to get married here, for the Vicar works according to the Bishop's Guidelines, but in this instance one of you must live in the parish.

To discuss booking a wedding, contact the Vicar, Philip Rowe, on 01454 613223

Preparation for marriage, not just the wedding itself, is taken seriously, and the local churches here in Severnside join together for a marriage preparation course, for those intending to marry during the coming year. Please contact Janet Olliff (01454 618690) if you are interested in this course. The next date in 2008 is Saturday 15 November.
The banns of marriage have to be read out in church for three, usually consecutive, Sundays during the three months before the wedding before it can legally go ahead.
