THE INFORMATION BELOW WAS REVISED ON 6th JANUARY – please see the articles above.
Following the announcement by he Prime Minister on Monday evening, a number of changes regarding use of the church come into effect immediately:
Holy Communion on Wednesday 6th January is CANCELLED.
St Mary’s will NOT be open for private prayer – only for any permitted services – see below.
As of this moment (9:00am Tuesday 5th January), Holy Communion on SUNDAY 10th January WILL take place at 10am, but it will be much shortened. The daily opening of St Mary’s will stop as of now.
The Bishop of Bristol will make an announcement on Thursday morning which will probably explain how/when/if churches can continue to hold services (though these are permitted by the Government, subject to stringent safety protocols).
The situation is changing daily, so please watch out for up to date information on this website.
