The Diocese recently introduced a scheme under which an energy expert would, for a nominal fee, visit and inspect any church wishing to improve the way it uses energy.

On Monday 25th November Mike Wright (chair of the Buildings Committee) met the expert and they went through the whole building examining the heating and lighting systems, insulation etc. Although the Buildings Committee has consistently monitored energy use, there are always means by which savings can be made. Mike will be reporting to the next PCC meeting in January with the findings.
