Sad to report the funeral of longtime Olveston resident last Friday, Illthid Hughes. Illthid and his widow June, supported St Mary’s for many years until his failing health prevented them from attending. Chris, their son, lives in the village too. We send our heartfelt sympathies to all the family.
For many people Spring isn’t really Spring until they can start gardening. That’s all very well in this current lockdown especially with the warmer weather, but plants and seeds are needed. The latter can be obtained online and from tomorrow, Monday, the Village Stores are expecting a large delivery of bedding plants – at just 99p each. Mind the rush!
Seen in a Church Magazine: Ladies, don’t forget the Rummage Sale on Thursday. It’s a great chance to dispose of unwanted rubbish around the house. Bring your husbands.
