The sound system in church is quite complex. It has to deal with “speech” in various forms; the hand mikes and the radio mikes; and the sound for DVDs and CDs played at weddings and funerals.

In addition there is the “loop system”, AND it also has to cope with background noises in films.

The PCC has been aware for some time of its failings, so our sound engineers, Bristol Sound, have been investigating the whole system and a number of faults have been identified. Just how these can be resolved is a different and complicated matter altogether. Bristol Sound will prepare a report and give alternative options for improving the sound quality overall in the next month or so.
